Mechanical Assembly – From Printed Circuit Board to Finished Product

Mechanical assembly is the manufacturing stage where the assembled and tested printed circuit board becomes a fully integrated and functional product. During this process the electronic unit receives its final mechanical fixation, enclosure integration and structural stability, resulting in a complete device that is ready for operation. Mechanical assembly therefore represents more than a simple joining process; it is a system integration activity in which electronic and mechanical elements are combined into a unified product.

At ElektroMont, mechanical assembly is closely integrated with our SMT and THT manufacturing processes, allowing the entire product manufacturing workflow to be managed within one coordinated and documented environment. This integrated approach ensures efficient project execution and consistent production quality.

Assembly of Custom Cables, Subassemblies and Complete Devices

Based on customer requirements, we provide custom cable preparation and cable assembly, including connector installation, crimping, soldering and internal wiring. Within the mechanical assembly process we also integrate electronic and mechanical subassemblies, ensuring precise alignment and reliable fixation of each component within the final product structure.

If required, we also perform the integration of additional key components into already surface-mounted or through-hole assembled circuit boards. This includes enclosure integration, structural assembly and final device assembly. As a result, the completed product can leave our facility in a fully assembled and market-ready condition.

Flexible Production from Prototyping to Serial Manufacturing

Our mechanical assembly services are available for prototype projects as well as for small-, medium- and large-series production. Manufacturing workflows are adapted to the required production volume and product complexity, enabling efficient production scheduling and reliable execution.

The advantage of an integrated EMS environment is that the complete manufacturing process – from PCB assembly to finished product – can be managed in one location. This reduces risks related to multiple handover points, simplifies project coordination and supports faster time-to-market.

Quality, Precision and Documented Processes

Mechanical assembly processes are supported by documented work instructions and quality control procedures. Accurate component alignment, correct fastening torque and the defined assembly sequence are essential to ensure reliable long-term product performance.

Our objective is not only to assemble components but to deliver a stable, well-integrated and professionally finished electronic product that meets both technical specifications and customer expectations.

Why Mechanical Assembly Within an Integrated EMS Environment Is Advantageous

Managing mechanical assembly together with electronic manufacturing significantly reduces logistical and coordination costs while improving production transparency. It also minimizes the need for post-assembly modifications and enables faster product introduction to the market.

At ElektroMont, mechanical assembly is not treated as a separate activity but as a natural and integrated part of complete electronics manufacturing.
